Former student’s holiday concert to benefit Scholarship Club
PRESS RELEASE - Scott Beaty, a former student at College of the Desert, will be performing at the Pollock Theater on Sunday, Nov. 27, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Beaty is donating his talent to benefit the Scholarship Club at COD.
The mission of the Scholarship Club is fundraising for scholarships and community service – some members will be trained as Scholarship Ambassadors. In the spring, the Ambassadors will be going to local high schools and into the community to talk about scholarship resources and how to complete winning applications.
Although it is a Holiday Concert, the program will be varied with only a few selections of Christmas and Hanukkah pieces.
