You have said, "...educate yourselves about the Dream Act." Yet, I find you have posted only opinions and speculation. I have read the bill. I posted facts about the bill. Like you, I hope these foreigners residing in America illegally, achieve their dreams. However, after all you have posted, I feel American money should be used on Americans. If you are concerned with humanizing proponents of this Dream Act, the current method of cohesion is lacking.

Hi!
Do you have any pictures of Ukraine from International Day? I was a petitioner of the activity. One girl took a picture of me at the table for a newspaper, but there is nothing. I would like to see it.
Thanks, Karyna.

Yes, it might be emotionally charged, but that is not my point, my point is that this article is not well written and not well informed. In fact, this article is more emotionally charged than my response. You guys should educate yourselves about the Dream Act. Do you know that some legal residents and even citizens will benefit from this bill too? And for your info, all of this students already pay for their education. And like I said before, with or without the Dream Act, these students will achieve their dreams. Please do your research. This article should be removed. This guy needs to do his research. Period.

Thanks for the article Israel J. Wilder. I tend to agree with some of your statements.

CC, it is difficult to reply to your statement. Your comment is emotionally charged and this is an ethical argument. Rather than focus on differing attitudes and belittling comments, focus on the beliefs. You quote the word illegal, are you implying these individuals are citizens or not illegal. I know this bill does not discriminate based on national origin or geographic origin. Does this mean SB 185 will not benefit foreign nationals living in the United States without proper documentation or citizenship? With the current economic disparity, should the ‘leftover’ money be invested in other government programs which are being cut?
In my chemistry class this semester there were over sixty students crashing and unable to find a seat. Proponents of SB 185 estimate $1.8 million each year by the state of California by this bills passage. I have spoken to administration; they have mentioned that to open a classroom at COD the base cost is six thousand dollars. That is nearly three hundred classrooms which could be paid for by this ‘leftover’ money.
Media and the government have used the propaganda which states, “..students who would benefit from SB 185 were brought into the United States as children.” These individuals were provided K-12 education and are required to be in process of acquiring citizenship. Why if these individuals are as Obama says, “…are America’s best and brightest” can they not work to pay for their secondary educations like many others do?

I must say that this article is really a disappointment. You should inform yourself before making ignorant comments. Legal residents and US citizens will not compete for anything because they will be the first ones to receive financial aid. After that, whatever it is left, it will go to the "illegals" as you call them. In other words, if nothing is left, they will not receive any help. Where is the competition in that? Please stop advertising false information and educate yourself on the subject. And either way, these young people have been going to school without any assistance before so if the DREAM Act doesn't go into effect, it wouldn't make a difference because they will not sit there and complain (like other people do). They have the intelligence and the strength to continue on with their education. You should watch out of "competition" once you graduate because I can bet that these young "illegals" will be better prepared.

in the first paragraph above, you refer to Nov. 31, however November only has 30 days.

Was I first? Do I win the prize for finding the error? I sure hope so. I really like prizes.

I would like to know what are the reasons gor this increase. Will they build more classrooms or how is this money going to be spent?
Thank You

WtH, I had a 4.0 last semester. Wish I would have received my certificate and been invited. With the budget cuts did COD pick and choose who they invited?
